About Theophonics
Your authors (who pretentiously use the names of their favorite church fathers):
Polycarp is a part-time evangelist and missionary as well as a part-time youth and children’s worker. He strongly focuses on the practicality of the elements of faith and the necessity of seeing the Bible through the context of history and the Jewish viewpoint it was written from and for. Polycarp is a “Nerd of All Trades” who wishes his busy bachelor lifestyle allowed him to have a cat.
Aquinas studied history and religion in college. He has worked at several Christian businesses including his current place of employment. He focuses on the importance of historic and cultural context of the Bible to promote a full understanding of scripture. Aquinas lives with his wife and their collection of comic books. He is afraid of needles.
Augustine is working on a Master’s degree in New Testament and Greek in hopes of becoming a professor of theology. He has written several Bible studies on the Gospels and is very interested in the area of New Testament manuscripts. Augustine lives with his wife and dog, Ceilidh. He hopes to eventually have time to live life again after school.
We are all ministers in the body of Christ, without denomination. We want Christians to stop being lukewarm. We want Christians to start thinking instead of going through life (and church) with their brains shut off. We want Christians to examine the true text of the Bible and cast aside blind acceptance of tradition. We want Christians to start being the example to the world they should be.
We want non-believers to see that Christianity isn’t what they accuse it of being.
Most of all, though, we want the world to see God, and not ourselves.
